DIY: Do-It-Yourself
‘DIY’ is an ethic of becoming self-dependent by completing tasks at home without hiring an expert or professional. Having this ethic is a smart way to save money and time (in some cases), enjoy some quality-time while doing the task, learn a new skill and experience something authentic/real. As because DIY ethic saves money and brings mental satisfaction, people are appreciating and choosing/adopting DIY projects more than spending on someone else. In that case we can quote that “mental satisfaction and quality is more important than money when it comes to decorating our homes and other assets”.
There are many household chores like changing a fused light, plumbing and pipe fittings, checking the functionality of different home appliances, home decoration (painting wall, installing curtains, flooring, tiling etc.), cleaning carpets and rugs, fixing something broken, floor tiling, setting up a fire pit, making pet house and so on. Most people do such things from the point of their responsibilities and if the professionals are unavailable at the right time. Some people practiced them as their hobby and some people started to earn their new livelihood with them. These activities can be listed down as DIY (Do-It-Yourself) projects. Check out our articles on such DIY projects, learn and become an expert on some specific household chores.
